3 Ways to Start a Faceless YouTube Channel In 2023

No camera involved

Starting a faceless YouTube channel can be a great way to get into the world of video content creation without having to be on camera. This has multiple advantages, including not needing fancy equipment, being able to publish more frequently, and discovering a million and one niches.

This article explores the three easiest ways to start a faceless YouTube channel in 2022.

1. Compilations & Slideshows

Creating a compilation video or a basic image slideshow is one of the easiest ways to start a faceless YouTube channel in 2023.

What do you need to create the perfect presentation?

For starters, you’ll need to have an app that is capable of creating image slideshows. Fortunately, there are plenty of free tools for this purpose, such as Google Presentations, Apple Keynote, and Microsoft PowerPoint.

If you’re looking to add a bit more pizzazz to your presentation, you might want to consider a basic video editing software. There are a ton of free options out there. I use iMovie on Mac.

Finally, to add some atmosphere and make your presentation come to life, you’ll want some music. Thankfully, you can find plenty of royalty-free tracks within the YouTube Audio Library, meaning you won’t need to worry about any copyright issues.

#2 Doodly

Starting a YouTube channel in 2023 can be easy with Doodly videos, a tool that can be purchased for $67. Commentary is recommended for this type of video, but it is not necessary.

If you’re looking to create engaging educational and explanatory videos about any topic, you need the right tools.

Doodly is one such tool that can help you achieve this. With its easy-to-use drag-and-drop interface, you don’t need any prior experience to get started. You just need a script to read and a basic editing software to combine video and audio.

Take a look at this example channel on YouTube. It has over 3 million views and has generated over $6K in revenue for the channel. It’s a testament to the success that Doodly can bring you. So why not give it a try?

#3 Flourish data visualization

Starting a faceless YouTube channel in 20223 with the use of Flourish data visualization.

This free tool can be used to create thousands of dollars in revenue, with real-life examples provided in another one of my posts.

However, it is important to avoid overused visuals such as the “bar chart race” when using Flourish.

I’ll give you one of my own little experiments as an example here. In the following video, you can see what Flourish is capable of. I created a timeline with the “line chart race” visualization. It looks way more complicated than it is, but the results demonstrate the power of data visualization.

Using Flourish, I was able to create an interactive animation that shows how the data changes over time.

Now, as with Doodly, this would work a million times better with commentary, in my opinion. But as you like.

The bottom line

It’s hard to make money on YouTube, but it’s still possible. Consider a faceless channel: it takes less time and effort, no editing or expensive software needed.

The 3 best ways to start

  1. Compilations
  2. Doodle
  3. Flourish.

Give it a try!
